Dr Yibin Li is a Research Associate with the DARe team. His PhD research explored the interactions between congestion charging and hybrid working on large city regions through developed spatial equilibrium models. He employs econometric and spatial equilibrium modelling to assess transport resilience in response to extreme weather conditions and provides insights on policy design for sustainable urban development challenges.

Focus on DARe
At DARe, Yibin Li contributes to assessing transport infrastructure resilience under extreme climate scenarios in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
Yibin’s work involves applying Negative Binomial Regression and Generalised Linear Models to analyse traffic performance data, identifying critical weather conditions that may trigger network failures, and developing spatial equilibrium models to roadmap policy interventions for achieving climate-resilient transport infrastructure.
