The event aims to showcase best practices for integrating carbon into infrastructure procurement, identify and develop strategies to address regional barriers, and share actionable outcomes to drive sustainable procurement policies.
Registration will be from 08.45, the event will run 09.15 – 16.45, and lunch and refreshments will be provided.
The full agenda will be shared in advance, and you can see the current outline agenda on the ICE NE CAG website via the link below.
Key highlights will include:
- An overview of carbon-conscious procurement featuring expert insights on holistic carbon management, PAS 2080 standards, policy and contract mechanisms, and collaborative approaches for driving decarbonisation across the supply chain.
- A workshop where we will invite diverse voices from across the infrastructure value chain to uncover the biggest barriers to integrating carbon into procurement and co-create practical actions to overcome them, turning challenges into opportunities for sustainable progress.
- Case studies and expert insights from national and regional clients, contractors, and suppliers on integrating carbon into procurement, followed by a panel discussion and audience Q&A.
- A hands-on scenario-based session where participants design carbon-conscious procurement strategies for a project, balancing decarbonisation with other sustainability priorities to achieve best value.
In addition to focusing on integrating net-zero carbon objectives into infrastructure procurement, the event will give attendees the opportunity to engage with a range of other organisations affected by these issues and explore what they will mean for businesses and operations in the future.
