DARe is also partly funded by the Department for Transport’s arm’s‑length bodies (ALBs): HS2, National Highways, and Network Rail.
The DARe Hub works closely with its funders and the arms-length bodies to ensure our activities align with national priorities and deliver maximum impact. We liaise regularly with policy teams within the Department for Transport (DfT), enabling their expertise to shape and influence our research direction, whilst also providing support and expertise to shape national policy. Our funders regularly participate in DARe’s workshops, provide strategic guidance, and connect us with wider stakeholder networks. This collaboration strengthens DARe’s ability to deliver evidence-based insights and practical tools for a decarbonised, adaptable, and resilient transport system.
