Dr Aitichya Chandra is a Research Associate in Resilient Networks, Asset Management Group, at the Institute for Manufacturing, University of Cambridge.
Dr Chandra’s work focuses on developing techniques and algorithms to model the operation and dynamic behaviour of networks with an aim to develop optimal policies for improving network resilience. He completed his BTech in Civil Engineering from MAKAUT, Kolkata (2017), an ME in Transportation Engineering from BITS Pilani (2019), and a PhD in Transportation Systems Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru (2024). His PhD focused on developing air traffic management solutions for gate-to-gate aircraft operations.
His overall research interests lie in network modelling, transportation systems, statistical modelling, and optimization. During his PhD, he was awarded the Prime Minister’s Research Fellowship from 2020 to 2023 by the Government of India.
