Daniel Bell

Daniel’s background is in Geospatial Data Science. He is a member of the Urban Observatory at Newcastle University, where he is involved in the advancement, maintenance, and data analytics of the UK’s largest open-source real-time urban sensing network. Before this, he accomplished two geospatial degree programmes at Newcastle University – a BSc in Surveying and Mapping Science, and an MPhil in automated vehicle speed estimation with use of computer vision techniques. His interests lie within spatial data capture and analysis, IoT applications, image classification, and interactive data visualisation.

Within DARe WP2 he will be developing the necessary tools and interfaces for connecting modelling frameworks, as well as model input and output data management.
