Manu Sasidharan


Dr Manu Sasidharan is a Senior Research Associate in Infrastructure Asset Management at the Centre for Smart Infrastructure and Construction and Distributed Information and Automation Laboratory developing risk-informed approaches for managing infrastructure systems.

His research focuses on improving the resilience, adaptation, and preparedness of infrastructure systems for uncertain future scenarios associated with climate risks, natural disasters, socio-economic and environmental conditions, and technological advancements. He was previously associated with the University of Birmingham as a Research Fellow in Transport Asset Management where he currently is an Honorary Senior Research Fellow. He has worked on various infrastructure asset management research projects funded by UKRI, industry and international agencies in the UK, India and Africa.

Dr Sasidharan is a member of Permanent Way Institute and Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation. His research was awarded the Prestige Award by the World Transport Research Society, and he was recently selected as one of the Top 40 Leaders under 40 for furthering the EU-UK-India relationship in science and technology.
