Sungin is a PhD student of Asset Management based at the Institute for Manufacturing in University of Cambridge. Sungin has more than a decade of experience in asset management of electrical infrastructure.
He was previously working as Senior Principal Engineer and Principal Investigator (PI) in SP Group (SP Power Grid Ltd, SPPG) in the SP Group-NTU Joint Lab, carrying out research projects to deliver practical analytic framework of risk-based decision-making process. Prior to joining SPPG, Sungin had been working as a Senior Consultant and Asset Management Service Lead Asia Pacific in DNV, Singapore, being responsible for consulting services of Operational Excellence (OPE). Sungin is a member of National Mirror Working Group (NMWG) of ISO/TC 251: Asset Management in Standards Development Organization (SDO), Singapore.
Starting professional career as condition assessment engineer in Bologna Italy, Sungin obtained his Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Aalto University (former Helsinki University of Technology) in 2011, Espoo Finland and Dongguk University in 2009, Seoul South Korea respectively.
