This event is collaboratively hosted by three leading energy and transport research Hubs – DARe, TransiT, and ENSIGN. The objective is to identify the key challenges in this area and inform policymakers on what is needed to accelerate and de-risk this transition.
The workshop aims to address key topics within the freight and logistics electrification sphere, including the challenges of electrification, distribution, battery technology, and the resilience of operations against climate impacts. We will delve into how these factors influence the operations of diverse entities such as energy generators and distributors, rail and road freight operators, logistics hubs, and blue light services. Additionally, we will explore the financial aspects and implications of transitioning to electrified systems.
