This initiative, launched in July 2024, invited researchers from UK academic institutions to submit proposals addressing critical topics such as the impact of disruption on business models, the gamification of climate resilience and mitigation, and the transferability of resilience and adaptation strategies across critical infrastructures.
The competition, which closed in September 2024, offered successful projects up to £50,000 in funding for a maximum duration of 12 months. The winning projects will contribute valuable insights to the DARe Hub’s core programme, addressing how the UK can transition to a net-zero, resilient, and climate-adaptive transport system.
